Built for HubSpot sales teams of 5–40 reps

Commissions that calculate themselves.Even the complicated ones.

Closers on tiers, SDRs per unit, coaches on every deal, new hires on a draw. CommissionIQ pays each person the way their plan actually reads, catches refunds before payroll goes out, and writes the cost of every sale back onto the HubSpot deal.

Sound familiar?

Four ways the commission spreadsheet costs you real money, every single period.

Payday is a two-day spreadsheet ritual.

Exports, VLOOKUPs, Slack threads about splits, and a rep who swears the number is wrong. Every period, like clockwork.

You paid commission on money you refunded.

The deal closed, the rep got paid, the customer refunded, and nobody told the spreadsheet. That money is gone.

Your comp plan outgrew the spreadsheet.

New hires on a draw. SDRs paid per unit. A coach paid on everyone's deals. A Q4 contest. One formula can't hold it.

You don't know what a sale really cost.

Revenue lives in HubSpot. Commission lives in a spreadsheet. Nobody can say which channel's deals are the expensive ones.

ANY COMP PLAN · EVERY ROLE

Built for the most complex compensation plans. For your entire team.

Not just closers on a tier. Everyone who earns on a deal, on the plan they actually have, in one system, with one approve button at the end of the period.

Build Innovative Comp Plans with Commission Wizard

The Commission Wizard asks one question at a time, in plain words, and works an example on every screen from your own numbers. Nothing that could change someone's pay is ever filled in for you.

  • A worked example on every screen
  • Save as a draft; a draft pays nothing
  • Back-test against past periods before it goes live

Does the rate change as reps sell more?

One rate for everything

The same rate on every sale.

Yes, it goes up

Reach a threshold, earn a higher rate.

Sarah collects $120,000. With 10% up to $100,000 and 12% from $100,000:

→ every sale at the tier reached pays $14,400

→ only the part above the line pays $12,400

CASH-COLLECTED, FOR REAL

Commission follows the money, payment by payment.

A $12,000 deal paid in three installments earns commission three times, in the period each payment lands. Say once what counts as commissionable: the full amount, the amount minus the processing fee, or a percentage. Every payment is figured the same way after that.

  • Fees come off before commission is figured
  • Nothing is paid on money not yet collected
  • Deal-amount and cash plans side by side

REFUND RADAR

Refunds get caught before payroll goes out.

When a customer refunds, CommissionIQ finds it in HubSpot, sizes the reversal to the exact payment the rep was paid on, and books it into the period the refund happened. Then it waits for your approval. Your clawback process just became a review.

  • Only the refunded part is reversed
  • Every person paid on the sale, at their own rate
  • Nothing reverses until a person approves it

WRITTEN BACK TO HUBSPOT

Your cost of sales, nested inside every deal you sell.

CommissionIQ writes the money back onto the HubSpot deal: the total commission paid on it across every closer, setter and coach, the period it was paid in, and the QuickBooks bill it went out on. Cost of sale lives right next to the revenue it bought, so every HubSpot report you build can use it.

BUILT TO BE TRUSTED WITH PAYROLL

Money software has to be boring in exactly the right places.

CommissionIQ was built alongside real sales teams with real payroll on the line. These are the rules it won't break.

It tells you before it guesses.

When something it needs is missing, the calculation stops and says what. It never quietly pays $0.

Every number can be explained.

Reps and managers can open any line and see what it was paid on, under which plan, and why.

Nothing reverses without a person.

Refunds are flagged for review. A person approves every clawback, every time.

History doesn't change under you.

Edit a plan and the change starts on the date you choose. Approved periods stay exactly as they were.

Nobody gets paid twice.

Billed items are marked as billed. Sending again takes a deliberate confirmation and gets its own bill.

Always current.

Updates the moment a deal or payment changes in HubSpot, and double-checks every open period overnight.

Live before your next period closes

No developer, no implementation project, no data migration.

1

Connect HubSpot

One click, one approval. Closed-won deals and their payments start syncing right away.

2

Build your plans

Import reps from HubSpot owners and answer the Commission Wizard's questions. Draft it, back-test it, switch it on.

3

Approve and pay

Each period calculates itself. Review the flags, approve, send the bills. The cost of every sale lands on its deal.

Why not the spreadsheet? Why not enterprise software?

Enterprise commission platforms price themselves out of teams under 40 reps. The spreadsheet is free until it costs you a refund. CommissionIQ is the thing in between.

Questions, answered

Do I need a developer to set this up?+

No. Create your account, click Connect HubSpot, approve the permissions, and map your sales roles. Most teams are calculating commissions within 15 minutes.

My comp plan is complicated. Will it fit?+

Almost certainly. Tiers, $-per-unit, cash-collected or close-date, base pay, draws, ramps, all-deals plans for coaches and managers, deal filters, bonuses from weekly to career, and figures from accounting. If you can explain the plan, the Commission Wizard can hold it, and you can back-test it against last quarter before it pays anyone.

Can I run contests, career bonuses and ramps with a draw?+

Yes. A contest is a bonus with dates, a team and a finish line; everyone who crosses it is paid when it closes. A career milestone pays once, the period a rep crosses it. A ramp applies to each rep's first days from their own start date and can carry a recoverable or non-recoverable draw, with or without carrying the balance forward.

What does CommissionIQ write back to HubSpot?+

Onto each deal: the total commission paid on it across every closer, setter and coach, the CPO paid, the commission status and period, the QuickBooks bill number, and when it last synced. Bonuses stay out of the deal total because they aren't tied to one deal. You can switch write-back off in Settings.

Can I try a plan before it pays anyone?+

Yes. Save it as a draft, which pays nothing, back-test it against past periods to see what it would have paid each rep, then switch it on.

What happens when a customer refunds?+

CommissionIQ finds the refund in your HubSpot payment records, sizes the reversal to the exact payment the rep was paid on, and puts it in your clawback queue. Nothing reverses until you approve it.

What counts as a seat?+

A seat is an active rep, meaning anyone whose commission is calculated. Admins and managers are free and unlimited. Deactivating a rep frees the seat immediately, with prorated billing.

When am I charged?+

Never during the 14-day trial. You add a card to start, cancel anytime before day 14 at no cost, and your subscription begins automatically after the trial. Month-to-month, no implementation fee.

Can reps be paid as 1099 contractors?+

Yes. Each contractor maps to a QuickBooks vendor and gets one bill per period in Accounts Payable. Employees get a payroll summary instead.

Do you support Salesforce, Pipedrive or Close?+

No. CommissionIQ is built for HubSpot only, on purpose. That's how it reads your deals and payments natively and writes commission back onto the deal.

Your reps will know their numbers. So will you.

The rest is better seen on your own numbers.

There's more to CommissionIQ than fits on a page. Connect HubSpot and watch it rebuild your last period to the penny, before you trust it with the next one.
